Contrary to popular opinion, I haven't
always been a Realtor. I was born in New Haven Connecticut and grew up
near Long Island Sound in a wonderful family with 2 brothers and a sister.
My teen years were marked by two major events ... I was such a trouble raiser
that my father turned me over to the Navy as a last resort. And ... I met
and fell in love with my High School Sweetheart ... Jan.
Within a few months of turning 21, I married Jan,
went on active duty in the Navy and moved away from Connecticut never to live
there again. To make a long story short ... Things worked out so
well in the Navy that I stayed on ... Saw the world ... Raised a family of 2
sons and a daughter ... And moved to Reston in the mid-70's!
My children have all chosen to live nearby ...
And now own their own Northern Virginia homes ... They've made me a very proud
Grandfather of seven wonderful girls and boys. Plus ... Wonder of Wonders
... I'm still lucky enough to still be in love, and living with, my lifetime
partner ... Jan!
In looking back it's safe to say that I've been
fascinated by computers and automation since the mid 60's ... Wow that's a long
time ... I 1st learned to write computer programs in 1's and 0's ... And
transported them on punched Paper tape ... Then Punched Cards ... Then Wiring
Boards ... Then Modems ... Then Floppy Disks ... and Now the Internet!
Parallel to my computer experience, Jan and I
moved ourselves and our family some 17 times ... And ultimately settled down in
a fantastic townhouse which sits right on the edge of Reston's Lake
Thoreau. We have a pontoon boat ... 'Rest'n Easy' ... and can be seen
floating around 'our lake' almost every warm day 7 to 8 months of the year.
To sum up ... I now find myself working with lots
of interesting people ... Using my computer and business skills and employing
the knowledge of homes that I picked up in a lifetime of moves. It's a
pleasure to be a Realtor with the opportunity of helping families improve the
quality of their lives by moving to the right home in a supportive neighborhood in
a vibrant Northern Virginia community! I'm ready to help you ... My help
is just a call or email away.
For those of you who are into Resumes, here's a
glimpse of mine ...
